Membership Criteria
Full Membership
To be eligible for full membership of SEPA applicants must:
Be a nationally registered Physiotherapist in Australia or New Zealand
Have five years full-time equivalent experience in musculoskeletal
physiotherapy practice with a minimum of 5,000 hours of practice
in the area of shoulder and elbow dysfunctionWork at least 30% of their time in the area of shoulder and elbow physiotherapy
Submit an application form to SEPA
Provide a letter of recommendation from a Physiotherapist, Medical practitioner or Orthopedic Surgeon
Pay the annual SEPA Membership fee of $100
Maintain active participation in SEPA over a 4 year period by:
Presenting at a SEPA Biennial Conference
Presenting at SEPA Zoom PDs evenings
Assisting with creation of SEPA Newsletters
Conducting or participating in SEPA sponsored education or research projects
Associate Membership
To be eligible for associate membership of SEPA applicants:
Be a nationally registered Physiotherapist in Australia or New Zealand
Be able to demonstrate an interest in shoulder and elbow Physiotherapy but are not currently able to meet SEPA’s full membership criteria
Submit an application form to SEPA
Provide a letter of recommendation from a Physiotherapist, Medical practitioner or Orthopedic Surgeon
Pay the annual SEPA Membership fee of $50
Apply for full membership of SEPA within 4 years
